Review of OP-II from Hardsounds.it Here is the translated Italian...Back is Shane Lankford with Orphan Project: The 4 song EP is composed of three tracks. A cover version of "Another Brick In The Wall pt.2" from Pink Floyd: This EP is a delicious appetizer with a view of another full-length. Its intelligent, well-played and with a good performance Shane behind the microphone. Surely the most progressive piece of the lot, since, as we shall see later, the target of new compositions of OP is quite interesting.
We come then to meet the fire, "Angels Desire," "My Goodness" and "Empty Me" all have a dark songwriting, as in strokes of gray tones of a painter, despite the issues of Christian rock. We say that seems a way meeting between dark wave and the issues dear to Christianity mode rock.
The result is good although it is a pity to hear so few new compositions. Looking ahead, however, we can say that the technical level has been raised, maintaining the highest standards of production and mixing. From emphasize the goodness of cover, who have not proposing special effects is of good quality. A disc that shows us once again the validity of stylistic and technical Orphan Project. Now we have to wait with patience for a new full length album that will finally give us the measure of growth for Shane and fellow OP members, for now concentrate on the EP and look to the future.
This is an EP that speaks directly to the heart.
