Ian Wheeler's - IMAGO DEI

I loved working on this album. I totally dug the outside the box compositions. You have to listen to this effort a couple times and then pow, it just grabs you. There is real depth to the writing and the different sonic flavors that are utilized keep taking you deeper and deeper. Check out a couple of the tunes!

Here is what Ian had to say about my mastering:

"Working with Rob Perez to master my album was one of the highlights of my whole production process. I had spent many long hours laboring away in my modest home studio taking the music I heard in my head and putting it on a computer hard drive. This I was able to do, but since my preamps were only entry level quality, the songs sounded stuffy and boxy. When Rob worked his magic on my music, he was able to open up the sound of each song so it breathed and had a whole new presence to it. He definitely raised the fidelity and over all headroom of the music, and brought each tune out-of-the-box. And although this was the first time I had ever worked with Rob, his easy, approachable style and personality made our working relationship both fun and rewarding. Rock-on brother; we'll be doing business again!"

Nick Layton - Storming The Castle

It was a real pleasure mastering Nick's album. Nick has a wonderful sense of melody and phrasing as well as the technical chops. The vocal tracks are full of power and the instrumentals are very majestic. I highly suggest checking into this effort.

Paul Kleff - Machined

The songs that are on this 4 song EP are worth every musical note thats packed into them. The melodic runs that seem to have a complete begining, middle and end highlight this wonderful offering. The vocals are especially powerful and the guitar playing is exceptional. This project also provided me with the opportunity to design the CD artwork and layout as well.
